Flue gas extractor gasket

A flue gas extractor gasket seals the joints around the flue gas extractor motor so that flue gas does not escape and the negative pressure in the combustion chamber remains stable. The flue gas extractor typically has two gaskets: a round flange gasket where the motor is fitted to the stove, and a silicone gasket that seals the motor housing itself.

The selection covers universal flange gaskets by diameter and silicone gaskets for specific pellet stove brands.

Flange gasket or gasket for the motor housing

The round flange gasket is selected by dimensions. Measure the old gasket or the flange across, and find the same diameter, for example Ø130, Ø166 or Ø170 mm. Some gaskets cover a range from 16.7 to 17.7 cm and therefore fit several flange sizes. The silicone gasket for the motor housing is shaped for the individual housing and is selected according to the stove's brand and model.

If other joints around the flue gas extractor motor need sealing, adhesive for the flue gas extractor is available, and if you are looking for gaskets for the door or glass, they are under gaskets.

Signs of a leaking gasket

A leaking gasket typically causes a smell of smoke in the room, especially during start-up, and soot streaks around the joint at the back of the stove. The joint can both let smoke escape and draw in false air, and if the negative pressure drops, the stove may trigger a draught alarm.

If the flue gas extractor starts heavily or hums without reaching speed, however, the fault is more often in the capacitor, and if the stove reports an error in the speed, it is the encoder. If it is the motor itself that is noisy or worn, the right one can be found among flue gas extractors.

Do you have a store where I can collect my parcel?

No, unfortunately we do not have a physical store that you can visit, and unfortunately it is also not possible to collect your order at the address. The address serves only as a warehouse and office for the webshop.
